CoderGang ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Easy Contacts Backup mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Contact Data (Accessed Locally Only)

The App requests access to your device's Contacts (address book) solely to perform backup, export, and restore operations. Your contact data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.

• Contact Access: Names, phone numbers, email addresses, and other contact fields are read from your device to generate VCF (vCard) or CSV backup files.
• Exported Files: Backup files are generated locally on your device. You choose how and where to share them (email, AirDrop, cloud storage, etc.).

1.2 Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The App stores the following data locally using Core Data. This data is never transmitted to our servers:

• Export History: Records of your previous backups, including date, device name, contact count, and the exported contact data.
• Preferences: Onboarding status, premium status, and daily export count.
• Usage Counters: Daily export count for free tier limits, stored locally.

1.3 Information Collected by Third-Party Services

Our App uses the following third-party services that may collect information:

Google AdMob (Google LLC)

• Purpose: To display banner, interstitial, and rewarded advertisements to free users, measure ad performance, and diagnose technical issues.
• Data collected: Device identifiers, IP-derived approximate location, app and ad interactions, and crash and performance diagnostics.

If you allow tracking through iOS App Tracking Transparency and any applicable ad privacy choices, Google may use data from this App together with activity across other companies' apps and websites to personalize ads and measure them. If you deny iOS tracking permission, the App requests non-personalized ads without your advertising identifier (IDFA). Non-personalized ads may still use limited identifiers for frequency limits and aggregate reporting where permitted.

RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.)

• Purpose: To process in-app purchases and manage premium status.
• Data collected: RevenueCat-generated app user ID, purchase history, and device information.

Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics (Google LLC)

• Purpose: To collect usage analytics and crash reports to improve app quality.
• Data collected: App usage events (e.g., export completed, feature usage), IP-derived approximate location, crash logs, device model, OS version, and app-instance identifiers.

1.4 Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not upload, store, or transmit your contacts to any server.
• We do not collect your name, email address, or account information.
• We do not create user accounts or require registration.
• We do not share your contact data with advertisers or any third party.
• We do not sell any user data.

2. How We Use Information

• To provide the core functionality of the App (backing up, exporting, restoring, and managing contacts).
• To display advertisements to free users via Google AdMob.
• To process in-app purchases and verify premium status via RevenueCat.
• To collect usage analytics and crash data via Firebase to improve the App.
• To detect duplicate contacts locally on your device.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Data is only shared with the third-party services described in Section 1.3, solely for the purposes stated.

When you export your contacts, the generated file remains on your device until you choose to share it through your preferred method. We have no access to or control over where you share your backup files.

4. Data Storage and Security

All contact data and export history are stored locally on your device using Core Data. We do not operate servers that store your personal data. If you delete the App, all locally stored data (including export history) will be permanently deleted.

5. Children's Privacy

Our App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

6. Your Rights

Your contacts and export history remain on your device. Third-party services may collect the information described in Section 1.3. You can manage the following choices:

• Delete data: You can delete individual export history entries within the App, or delete all data by uninstalling the App.
• Revoke contact access: You can revoke the App's access to your contacts at any time through Settings > Privacy & Security > Contacts on your device.
• Opt out of ads: You can purchase the Pro version to remove all advertisements.
• Ad privacy choices: When available, use Ad Privacy Choices in the App's Settings to review or change your advertising consent.
• iOS tracking permission: You can deny the App's tracking request or later change its permission in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. Ads may still appear in the free version if you deny permission, but the App requests them as non-personalized ads without IDFA.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
