FamilyMeds Privacy Policy
At FamilyMeds we take the privacy of your medical data and your family's seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and what control you have over it.
1. Who operates the app
FamilyMeds (hereafter "the app", "we") is operated by NCS, contact at
contact@northcoastsolutions.net.
This policy applies to the FamilyMeds mobile app available on Google Play
(package com.ncs.familymedsapp).
2. Information we collect
2.1 Account data
- Email address and, if you sign up with email/password, an encrypted password.
- Google identifier if you choose Google Sign-In (we do not store your Google password).
- Name you voluntarily provide at registration.
- Country selected during registration.
2.2 Health and family data
- Family profiles you create: name, relationship, optional medical notes (allergies, conditions).
- Medications: name, dose, unit, type, color, instructions, schedules, and frequency.
- Intake history: record of doses marked as taken, snoozed, or skipped.
- Stock inventory: available quantity and alert threshold (optional).
2.3 Usage and subscription data
- Subscription status (free or Premium) managed via Google Play and RevenueCat.
- Anonymous RevenueCat identifier to validate your purchase.
- Push notification token from your device (if enabled) to send medication reminders.
2.4 What we do NOT collect
- Geographic location.
- Contact list.
- Photos, audio, or files from your device.
- Browsing history.
- Biometric data.
3. How we use your information
- To authenticate you and keep you signed in.
- To sync your medical data across your devices.
- To send medication reminders and notifications you schedule yourself.
- To validate your Premium subscription and unlock the corresponding features.
- To respond to support requests you send by email.
We do not use your medical data for advertising. We do not sell or share it with advertisers, insurance companies, or third parties for commercial purposes.
4. Third-party services we use
To operate the app we rely on the following providers. Each has its own privacy policy and only receives the data strictly necessary.
- Supabase (storage and authentication): supabase.com/privacy
- Google (Google Sign-In, Google Play Billing, distribution): policies.google.com/privacy
- RevenueCat (subscription validation): revenuecat.com/privacy
5. How we protect your data
- All communication between the app and our servers happens over HTTPS/TLS.
- Passwords are stored encrypted with modern hashing algorithms (bcrypt/argon2 via Supabase Auth).
- We enforce Row Level Security (RLS) policies in the database: your data is only readable by your own account.
- Data stored locally on the device stays in Android's private app sandbox.
6. Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently erase your family profiles, medications, intake history, and stock within at most 30 days.
7. Your rights
You can at any time:
- Access all your data directly from the app.
- Modify or delete profiles, medications, and records from the app.
- Export your history as PDF (Premium feature).
- Delete your account by emailing contact@northcoastsolutions.net. We process deletion within at most 30 days.
- Cancel your Premium subscription at any time from the Subscriptions section of Google Play.
8. Children and minors
FamilyMeds is intended for users aged 18 or older. The app allows an adult caregiver to register profiles and medications for minors under their responsibility, but the account must always belong to the adult. We do not knowingly collect data directly from children under 13.
9. Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will publish the new version at this same URL and update the "Last updated" date. For significant changes we will notify you by email or within the app.
