Delete your FamilyMeds account
This page explains how to request deletion of your FamilyMeds account and the associated data. If you only want to delete part of your data (a family profile, a medication, a history entry) without closing your account, you can do that directly in the app without following this procedure.
1. How to request account deletion
Send an email from the address registered to your FamilyMeds account to:
contact@northcoastsolutions.net
Your message must include:
- Subject: "FamilyMeds account deletion request"
- Account email you want to delete (must match the email you are sending from, to verify your identity).
- Any additional detail you want to share (optional).
If you registered with Google Sign-In, also indicate the Google address associated with your FamilyMeds account.
2. Processing time
We will process your request within at most 30 days from the receipt of your email. You will receive a confirmation email once deletion is complete.
3. Data that will be deleted
Upon confirmation of deletion, we will permanently erase the following:
| Category | Detail | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Email, encrypted password, Google ID (if applicable), name, country | Deleted |
| Family profiles | Names, relationships, optional medical notes | Deleted |
| Medications | Name, dose, units, types, instructions, schedules, frequency | Deleted |
| Intake history | Records of doses taken, snoozed, or skipped | Deleted |
| Medication stock | Quantities and alert thresholds | Deleted |
| Alerts and notifications | Reminder and family alert configuration | Deleted |
4. Data we retain (and why)
For legal, tax, or security requirements, we may retain the following data for limited periods, after which it is also deleted:
| Data | Retention | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Subscription transaction records (if any) | Up to 7 years | Accounting and tax obligations |
| Aggregated security logs (no personal identifiers) | Up to 12 months | Fraud and abuse detection |
| Email support history | Up to 24 months | Support ticket traceability |
None of this retained data actively identifies you as a user once your account is deleted — personal identifiers (email, name, IDs) are anonymized in the logs during the deletion process.
5. Premium subscription
If you have an active Premium subscription when requesting deletion, we recommend canceling it beforehand from the "Subscriptions" section of Google Play. Deleting your FamilyMeds account does not automatically cancel the subscription billed by Google Play, since that cancellation is the user's responsibility on their Google account.
If you need help canceling, mention it in the same email and we will send detailed instructions.
6. Partial deletion without closing the account
If you only want to delete parts of your data without closing your account, you can do so directly in the app:
- Delete a family profile: go to the Family tab, open the profile, and select Delete.
- Delete a medication: open the corresponding profile, select the medication, and tap Delete.
- Delete history records: go to the History tab and remove individual entries.
These actions are immediate and permanent — the app and server sync in real time.
7. Contact
For any questions about the deletion process, please email contact@northcoastsolutions.net. For more information on how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy.
