Renzo Delgado ("we", "us" or "our") develops the Video Splitter app for iPhone (the "App"). This policy explains what information the App handles, who receives it, and the choices you have.
In short
You can change these permissions at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security.
We do not run our own servers and do not store personal information ourselves. The services below collect some information automatically when you use the App. They act under their own privacy policies, linked in section 4.
The free version shows banner, interstitial and optional rewarded video ads. Ads are served by Google AdMob, which may work with other advertising partners certified by Google. To deliver, limit, measure and protect ads against fraud, Google and these partners may collect:
Consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland): before any ad is requested, the App shows Google's consent form (Google User Messaging Platform, using the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework). You can accept, refuse or choose purposes, and you can change your choice at any time in the App under Settings > Privacy choices.
App Tracking Transparency: the App asks your permission through Apple's tracking prompt before the IDFA can be used. If you do not allow tracking, the IDFA is not available to the App or its partners, and the ads you see are less personalized. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
Ad networks may also use Apple's SKAdNetwork, which measures ad results without identifying you.
Video Splitter Pro users see no ads, and the App makes no ad requests for them.
We use RevenueCat to verify and restore your Video Splitter Pro purchase. RevenueCat receives your purchase and transaction records from Apple, an anonymous app user ID it generates, device and app information, and your IP address. Payment itself is handled by Apple; we never see your payment details.
We use Firebase Analytics, a Google service, to learn which features are used, for example when a split is completed, a setting is chosen or the Pro screen is shown. It collects app events, an app instance ID, device model, operating system and app version, language, and approximate country or region. This information is not linked to your name or contact details. If you allow tracking, Firebase Analytics may also use the IDFA.
We use Firebase Crashlytics, a Google service, to find and fix bugs. When the App crashes or hits a serious error, it sends a crash report with the stack trace, device model, operating system and app version, device state at that moment (such as free memory and disk space), and a Crashlytics installation identifier. Crash reports never include your videos.
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we never use your videos for any purpose. Where you allow it, ad partners may use information about your use of the App for personalized advertising, which some laws call "sharing"; you can stop this through the consent and tracking choices described above.
Personalized advertising, tracking and storing advertising information on your device rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in Settings > Privacy choices. Crash reporting, usage analytics and fraud prevention rely on our legitimate interest in keeping a free app working and improving it. Verifying and restoring purchases is necessary to provide what you bought.
Your videos and recent splits stay on your device; recent splits are deleted automatically after 7 days. Information collected by the services in section 2 is kept by those providers for limited periods under their own retention policies. We keep no copy of it on servers of our own.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, Brazil's LGPD or California law), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal information, to object to or restrict its use, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Because the App has no accounts, we cannot link information to you by name. Email us and we will help you exercise these rights with the providers listed above.
The App is not directed at children under 13, or under the minimum age set by the law of your country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
The providers listed above may process information in the United States and other countries. They use safeguards required by law for these transfers, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Because your videos are processed on your device, your content stays under your control. Information sent to the services above travels over encrypted connections.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Please review it periodically.
